The forerunner to the Colorado Health Access Survey — the Colorado Household Survey (COHS) — was initiated in 2008-2009.
The main objective of the COHS was to provide baseline information about health care coverage and access in Colorado in anticipation of state and national health reform efforts. The survey was sponsored by the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and funded by The Colorado Trust. The Colorado Health Institute administered the survey and handles the maintenance of the data.
A separate survey report and followup reports were not produced.
