15,000 kids in low-income neighborhoods get cool kicks to aid their mental health

Communications Director Joe Hanel was interviewed for an August 12 9News segment about Arzelle Lewis, a Denverite and entrepreneur whose nonprofit is giving shoes to kids and improving mental health in some of the metro area’s most impoverished neighborhoods. 

Hanel shared data with 9News about mental health in poorer neighborhoods and communities of color — the same areas where Lewis and his nonprofit, SweetFeet, are making a difference.
