Maggie Hart
Maggie Hart joined CHI as a Research Analyst in 2024 after previously supporting the team in a contractor role. She uses qualitative and quantitative analysis to support program evaluation, community needs assessments, stakeholder engagement, and other projects. She is also a member of CHI's Acclimate Action Team.
At CHI Maggie has worked on projects related to climate and health, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and hospital community benefits. As a Health Policy and Economics Fellow with the Lancet Commission on Sustainable Healthcare, she offers health policy recommendations that connect disease prevention, patient care, and environmental changes. Previously, she has worked with the World Bank as a Climate Change and Health Consultant, analyzing the economic cost of climate adaptation and health interventions to develop country-level climate and health recommendations.
Maggie holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience. She earned her master of public health degree from the Yale School of Public Health, where she was editor at the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law, and Ethics. For her thesis, she analyzed state and national environmental policies and extracted actionable steps for Colorado's use of federal government funds.
In her free time, Maggie enjoys backpacking, skiing, baking, knitting, sewing, trail running with her dog, and coffee.
