Lauren Bell
Lauren Bell oversees the development and execution of programs and projects across multisector stakeholder groups including public health, human services, and community-based, clinical, government, and business organizations.
Before coming to CHI, Lauren was Program Manager for Medicaid Transition Services with the Denver Regional Council of Governments’ Area Agency on Aging. In addition to overseeing the program and managing quality assurance, she worked with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to ensure contract compliance and resolve issues. With the Area Agency on Aging, she also was Lead Counselor with the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Aging Services Counselor for SHIP. Lauren enjoyed collaboratively planning events for DRCOG’s COG Cares group, a volunteer committee dedicated to creating quarterly volunteer opportunities for staff.
During graduate school, Lauren interned at the Office on Aging within the Human Rights and Community Partnerships office at the City and County of Denver. She was a Research Assistant for two professors at the University of Denver (DU), where she co-led community recruitment and surveying for a pilot study of caregivers for older adults. She was a Research Consultant with the Omni Institute, a Research Assistant for the Bridge Project and Spotlight on Success, both DU-based programs, and a Social Services Intern for Julia Temple Healthcare Center.
From DU, Lauren earned a master of social work degree with a concentration in organizational leadership and policy practice. She also holds a BS in human development and family studies from Pennsylvania State University.
In her spare time, she enjoys trail running, backpacking, biking, taking her cats for walks, reading, learning to quilt, and gardening.
