Gerardo Silva-Padrón
Gerardo Silva-Padrón joined CHI as a Research Analyst in 2024, bringing extensive knowledge in research, data analysis, and policy evaluation within the health space. As a member of CHI’s legislative team, he monitors health policy legislation and contributes to projects including the local ballot measure tracker, which CHI maintains on behalf of the Colorado Health Foundation. He also supports CHI’s work to support the implementation of value-based payments in health care.
Prior to joining CHI, Gerardo was a Policy Researcher at the Education Commission of the States, where he provided education policy leaders with insight and analysis on education policies nationwide. His work included a focus on student health and well-being as well as the connection between family health and student participation and academic achievement. He previously held roles at Early Milestones Colorado, the Colorado Department of Human Services, and the Governor’s Office of Community Engagement.
Gerardo earned a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder where he double majored in international affairs and ethnic studies.
Gerardo grew up in Loveland. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, running, hiking, spending time with his family and friends, and watching Barcelona play.
